Why Can’t I See My Ads At the Boat Show?
February 20, 2019 12:43 pmImagine this scenario – You are running a geofencing campaign at the Miami Boat Show. Your super excited to have your boss see your company ads while he is looking at Facebook during lunch. Then the disappointment begins. He didn’t see the ad and immediately thinks the campaign isn’t working.
As disappointing as this may be, the truth is it does happen from time to time. Here are several reasons why you aren’t seeing your ads during a boat show or event.
1.) Our network is Massive
We utilize thousands of websites during the course of a boat show. There are millions of impressions to go around. Sometimes you just aren’t viewing the correct website at the correct time.
2.) You aren’t the target demographic
Your company may be targeting men who make over $100,000 a year. Ask yourself, do I fit the demographic I am targeting? If not, it’s a good thing that you aren’t see your ads. It means we are doing our job!
3.) Budget is too small
Imagine how many people attend the Miami Boat Show each year. If your budget is too small then you are only reaching a small segment of those attendees during the show. Not to say that 50,000 impressions doesn’t work but it definitely isn’t maximizing the capabilities of geofencing and makes it even more difficult for you to see your own ads.
4.) Your Phone simply didn’t find you
We do find that this happens from time to time. Sometimes the satellites simply can’t capture your mobile device ID and they can’t find you. Also, make sure you have your location services turned on. If you have location services turned off then you will definitely not see your ads at the show.
In conclusion, Just because you didn’t see your own ads doesn’t mean that your campaign isn’t running or more importantly that it’s not effective. The biggest key is getting your daily report that shows where your ads are showing up on, where etc…
